Pregnant and Parenting Teens​​​

First Pregnancy​​

Woman Pregnant - First Pregnancy?A registured nurse can help you with your pregnancy!

Did you know you that if you are under 28 weeks pregnant you can get home visits by a registered nurse that will help you make sure your first pregnancy runs smooth and that your baby is born healthy and develops healthy?  You can receive services until your baby is 2 years old. Visit the Nurse-Family Partnership Program.

 

African American Pregnant or Parenting Moms​

African American mom and childYou have options. See what's best for you and you will be assisted by staff that understands your experience in a culturally relevant manner! 

If you are under 30 weeks pregnant, did you know you can get home visits from a mentor from your community that will help you have a safe pregnancy and a healthy baby? Support groups and doulas are also offered.  You can receive services until your baby turns 4 months old. Visit Black Mothers United webpage for more information

If you are pregnant or have a child under 3 months old, you can get home visits by a registered nurse up until your baby is 1 year old.  They will help you with prenatal care, postpartum support and education. Visit the African American Perinatal Health Program

If you are pregnant or have a child under 6 months old you can join support groups that will help you have a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby.  Services are up until your baby turns one year old. Visit the Black Infant Health Program

If you live in the Arden/Arcade area or Valley Hi/Meadowview, you can get weekly visits on health education including improving bonding and parent-child relationships, child behavior and connecting families with community resources. ​
