Funding Opportunities

$40 Million in First 5 Sacramento Funding Available 

In the Fall of 2020, First 5 Sacramento released multiple Request for Proposals (RFPs) totaling over $40 million in funding and held mandatory bidders conferences. Contracts with the selected agencies will begin July 2021. Funding over a three-year period for services benefiting the health and well-being of young children will be allocated among the following priority areas​:

  • Preventing African American Child Deaths
  • Strengthening Families/Decreasing Child Abuse and Trauma
  • Increasing Access to Early Care
  • Improving School Readiness
  • Building Quality Child Care Settings
  • Increasing Breastfeeding

​About the Mandatory Bidders Conferences:

​All program related RFPs required that a representative of ​an organization must attend a specific Mandatory Bidders Conference in order to be eligible to apply. The Mandatory Bidders Conferences were held in October and are now closed for registration and participation.​​ 

Funding Recommendations:​​​​​​
